About Musezero Foundation
Musezero Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality education, nutritious meals, and healthcare to vulnerable children in Uganda. We operate Musezero Academy, where we support 247 students with comprehensive educational and wellness programs.
We are located in Kisoro, Uganda. Our main campus, Musezero Academy, serves students from surrounding communities who face economic challenges and limited access to quality education.
Musezero Foundation has been transforming lives since 2020. We've grown from serving a handful of students to supporting 247 children with education, meals, and healthcare.
Our unique partnership with Shoebill Adventure Tours ensures sustainable funding—30% of every safari booking supports our students. This model provides consistent resources while connecting travelers with our mission. Additionally, 100% of direct donations go to student programs, with administrative costs covered by our tourism partner.

Student Sponsorship
Monthly sponsorship provides consistent, long-term support for a student's education, nutrition, and healthcare. For $50/month, you become a dedicated partner in one child's journey from poverty to prosperity, receiving regular updates and photos of your sponsored student.
Yes! Monthly sponsors receive personal updates, photos, and letters from their sponsored student. You can write letters, send encouragement, and even visit your student if you travel to Uganda. We facilitate meaningful connections while respecting student privacy and safety.
Yes, you can cancel anytime through your PayPal account settings. While we hope for long-term partnerships, we understand circumstances change. We'll ensure your student continues receiving support through other sponsors or our general fund.
When your student completes their education, we'll celebrate their achievement with you and offer the opportunity to sponsor another child. Many sponsors choose to continue supporting new students, creating a lasting impact across multiple generations.
Visiting & Volunteering
Yes! We welcome visitors, especially those booking safaris with Shoebill Adventure Tours. You can tour our campus, meet students, see your impact firsthand, and even participate in activities. Please contact us in advance to schedule your visit.
We welcome volunteers with specific skills like teaching English, healthcare, sports coaching, or vocational training. Volunteer opportunities typically require a minimum 2-week commitment. Contact us to discuss your skills and availability.
When you book a safari with Shoebill Adventure Tours (gorilla trekking, wildlife safaris, cultural experiences), 30% of your booking fee automatically supports Musezero Foundation. This sustainable model has funded over 1,200 safaris since 2020, and travelers can visit our campus during their trip.
Programs & Impact
We provide comprehensive support including:
- Quality Education - Full curriculum with qualified teachers
- Daily Nutrition - Breakfast and lunch for every student
- Healthcare - On-site wellness hub with medical care
- School Supplies - Textbooks, uniforms, and materials
- Extracurricular Activities - Sports, arts, and life skills
We track multiple metrics including student enrollment, attendance rates, academic performance, health outcomes, and graduation rates. Currently, we support 247 students, serve 52,000+ meals annually, and provide 800+ healthcare visits per year. We share regular impact reports with donors.
We serve students from primary school age through secondary education (approximately ages 6-18). Our programs adapt to each age group's needs, from foundational literacy for younger students to exam preparation and vocational skills for older students.
We prioritize vulnerable children from low-income families who face barriers to education. Selection considers family economic status, distance from other schools, orphan status, and special needs. Our goal is to serve those who would otherwise have no access to quality education.
