Our Story
How a partnership between education and tourism is transforming lives in Uganda
Tourism That Transforms
Musezero Foundation was founded with a simple belief: travel should create opportunity. We partner with Shoebill Adventure Tours to ensure every safari doesn't just show you Uganda's beauty—it invests in Uganda's future.
How It All Started
In 2020, Musa Irankunda recognized that Uganda's thriving tourism industry could do more than showcase wildlife—it could educate children. By partnering Shoebill Adventure Tours with Musezero Foundation, we created a sustainable model where 30% of safari bookings directly fund education, meals, and healthcare for vulnerable children.
Today, Musezero Academy serves 247 students, provides over 52,000 meals annually, and operates a Wellness Hub that has conducted 800+ healthcare visits this year alone. Every student receives quality education from qualified teachers, nutritious daily meals, and free medical care.
Our Mission
We believe every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their family's economic situation. Musezero Foundation removes barriers to learning by providing not just textbooks and teachers, but also the nutrition and healthcare that enable children to thrive.
Our Values
- ✓ Education First: Quality learning with qualified teachers and modern curriculum
- ✓ Holistic Support: Nutrition, healthcare, and emotional well-being
- ✓ Community Partnership: Working with families, not replacing them
- ✓ Transparency: 100% of direct donations go to students
The Shoebill Partnership
What makes Musezero unique is our partnership with Shoebill Adventure Tours. Every traveler who books a gorilla trek, wildlife safari, or cultural experience automatically becomes a partner in education—30% of their booking directly supports our students.
This model ensures sustainable funding while giving travelers the opportunity to visit Musezero Academy, meet students, and see their impact firsthand. Many return year after year, building lasting relationships with the children they support.
